There are a lot of files that are corrupt and my CD
drives aren't being found so I decided I need to erase
everything and start fresh.  How do I erase EVERYTHING?  
Can I do something called "flashing" my drives?  Thanx in

I have win98 home computer, every time I start comeputer,
it give me error that says, your lock command enabled may
distroy your disk..... something like that. and on the
bottom of dos screen ask me sure to continue[Y or N]

The C: drive icon in My Computer doesn't respond.  I can
access C: through Windows Explorer, however.  Any ideas?

I'm running a 4-year-old Gateway desktop with printer and
scanner and Windows 98SE on a 13gig hard drive. I have
added an internal CD-RW and an internal 4-port USB card.
Here are the symptoms:
BIOS recognizes Seagate 8.6G correctly/Win98SE does not!12 Sep 2003 17:52 GMT9
I have just installed a Seagate Medalist 8420 ST38420A
8.6G, mobo is a Gigabyte GA-7IXE4 with AMIBIOS Ver. 1.23.
Here is the problem: Windows 98SE seems to think that the
disk capacity is only 1G. Fdisk displays 1 partition, 8221

Whenever I try to insert a CD (game cd) into the CD-rom, a
Fatal Exception 0E appears and I have to force reboot my
computer. The moment I close the CD-ROM drive and the
computer automatically tries to run the CD, the error:

We have this problem in our computer. The first time was
its just hang up and produce a ticking sound. I seems like
the computer trying to read or execute something but it

SCSI BIOS initialization occurs before boot-up as usual,
but the 18GB Cheetah SCSI drive is no longer listed as a
drive letter once Windows loads.
