I originally posted this problem aug 24th but havent gotten a reply and its driving me crazy. Any burnt cd's I try to run are not recognized and I get a message that drives not ready. I narrowed this down now to cdrw disks

sir my system windows 98 corrupted.so i delete the windows directory from the c:. it shows some error messages.that is himem.sys corrupted, command.com corrupted.in the dos mode (c>) only comes.

Windows 98 does not directly recognize an external Canon MO drive. Am looking to see if there is a realmode driver such as ASPI4DOS that will allow WIN 98 to see the drive.
