I have never restored my hard drive before. Problem is
that I don't want to lose my files in my old drive so

I've connected the harddisk of my laptop ( Toshiba Hdd2616
c , 2167 mb ) to my pc to copy W98 onto the harddisk. But

My CD rom drive tray will not open.  It was working fine

Mass Storage Support' driver. If I check the System/Hardware control panel

Hi get the Su 0650 error when trying to upgrade win 98 to
SE, I also cannot run scandisk or defrag as it comes up
with insufficient memory.  my system is a P3 6600 128Mb
ram and 20 Gb HDD (use only 28%)

I have been trying to defragment my hard drive for months
now.  It gets up to 10% and restarts.  This goes on for
hours and I give up.  I have E-Machines Windows98.  Any
suggestions?

Is there a way to reformat your hard drive and still keep
important system information such as DOS, monitor drivers
and such. I just want to remove all programs, including
windows, and start again fresh!

Hi, I had to format my hard disk some time ago due to a
virus and lost some files that I would like to try to get
back. I was running Win98 then but I have since upgraded
to WinXP. Is there a software out there that could find

Dell GXa original harddisk size was 19GB.  Partition one
was 8GB and partition2 was 11GB.  I used fdisk to remove
partitions and formated the drive.  Now drive shows 8GB
total.  Bios says 19GB.  Where did I go wrong and how can

I have been having a proble with my hard drive when i run
a through scan of "C".. It will scan up to about 10,000
clusters, then my hard drive locks up..
If I just do a standard scan, then it completes w/o a
