I am trying to connect a web-cam to my computer but it's
giving me some problems, I think I have to get a CD-ROM
for Windows98. Does anyone know where I can purchase one
or is there another way I can get the files and copy them

Although my Maxtor hard drive has a capacity of 45 GBytes,
the Properties display in "My Computer" reports it as
having a total capacity of 10.9 GBytes. However, when
inspecting the BIOS, the disk size is reported correctly.

Whenever I start my pc it tells me that the 'Floppy Disk
(s) fail" and if I hit F1, then the computer continues
its startup without a problem. Any ideas where the error
message originates and how I can fix the problem?

Alright, i have the invalid system disk error which was
brought about by accidently deleting a couple files out of
my windows folder. the error started appearing after i
restarted the computer and i have tried

shutdown, as it used to.

Now that my upgraded Norton Utilities have dropped the
MOVE programs feature, is there another way to move a
program (and all its pointers etc.) from one drive to
another to free up space?

Dell GXa original harddisk size was 19GB.  Partition one
was 8GB and partition2 was 11GB.  I used fdisk to remove
partitions and formated the drive.  Now drive shows 8GB
total.  Bios says 19GB.  Where did I go wrong and how can

I recently upgraded my windows 98 to windows me.  It went
very smooth and everything seemed fine.  I thought it
would be a good idea to defrag the computer and did so
not aware of the issue of the upgrade.  Sure enough as

I want to format it with win 98 se. the bios says that it
is a 80 GB hard drive.  fdisk says it is a 8056 MB

I have problem with my floppy. Actually it is broken and
was taken out. I need to reinstall the Windows 98 or 98 SE.
I do have their original CD Rom's.
But even if I change the boot sequence in BIOS, the CD

I'm working on a computer for a friend.  He got it for
free from a relative of his.  He doesn't know exactly
what went wrong with this computer, and the person who
gave it to him doesn't know either.  Pretty helpful, eh?

I've just upgraded to a new motherboard the has two IDE
controllers on it.  I've physically installed an
additional hard drive and CD ROM on the secondary
controller.  The CMOS setup recognizes both pieces of
