I just got a refurbished laptop.  It has two hards
drives.  Drive C: is 2 gig and drive D: is 10 gig.  The
program I'm installing will not let be specifiy a download
location.  I need to install the program into the larger

Computer stats: PII400, Win98, 256MB
Yesterday I turned on my computer to find that it would
not boot up.  Before loading Windows, scandisk (DOS)
checked my hard drive for errors as it had not been turned

my D: and E: drives - CD/DVD and CDRW - were working fine
and then I didn't used them for quite a while and now when
I put a disk in (any disk - blank or with content) and
click on the icon to open/view the volume all I get is

When starting the computer I receive the message unable to
load the Dynamic Link Library

The system cannot find the file specified.

It is marked as 'non-responding' when I CTRL+ALT+DEL.
Every time I run a Scandisk afterwards, it finds and solves
a boot error on that particular hard disk. After which the
problem continues to occur. Active Desktop may be

defragmenter hangs up after 3% and returns to 0%.

I have a WIN98 SE box.  Suddenly the CD-ROM disappeared.  
I purchased a new CD/RW Drive.  It shows up in the BIOS,

I am trying to run a cd-rom that came with "Barron's Guide
to Colleges 2003". The file seems to load but when I try
to open it, I receive the following error message:  There

Here is the problem... i am trying to install CAMEDIA
Master 4.1 on my grandmothers computer. I put the CD in

I have a system (C:) disk compressed (drivespace?) that I
would like to replace with a new 120G drive and obviously
don't need the new disk to be compressed.  Can I just
clone the drive with Ghost or some such? Or am I headed

When you move files to the recycle bin, are they really
physically moved?  In other words, if I want to clean up
my files before defrag, do I have to actually delete the
files from the recycle bin?
