I need to know how to properly format my Hard Drive and I'm

So I was at a customer site yesterday, overseeing the installation of an app
I created when low-and-behold the app fails because it didn't install the
device inf file (btw I'm using InstallShield Ex 4.0).
My first question was "Shouldn't Win98 always have a "//Windows/inf/"

I need help desperately, I am having hard disk with 7 partitions
C.D.E.F.G.H,I), I am having windows 98 on C:\ and windows xp on F:\,
a week ago I formatted F,G,H,I to NTFS instead of fat 32 so windows 98

find. If we upgrade to say XP will we lose all the files
