I am unable to access (or see) drive d:, the CD-ROM. Can
anyone suggest a means to re-enable it?

Both my DVDrom and CD-R/W drive are failing to show up in Windows explorer
and are not seen by any application.
On the control panel, the 'Secondary Bus Master IDE Controller ( dual fifo )
is showing up with a yellow circle and the explanation mark.

Problem, my son-in laws relatives ( kids), put a password
in to his computer and now can't log on because the kids
can't get the password right .  How in the world do we
get by this?

I have the cable provider coming to install cable internet tomorrow and I
can't run winicfg.exe! Can I install it from the windows 98 or 98SE disk?
And how is this done?
I even searched for the file on my old computer and it is not there!

I have a Compaq Armada 110 that I am trying to re-load
windows on.  It appears the floppy drive is not working

A week or so ago my ethernet card died, I bought a new one
and installed it and the drivers succesfully. Now windows
tells me I need to "BIND" the new card to tyhe tc[/ip
before it can be used. When I try to do this it asks me

Have been trying to fix a hard lockup problem through PCR
in the General Discussion Group and can't see if he has
any more suggestions (Newsgroup Not Available). We were in
the process of trying to get a good scan disk. My scan

I was copying a file to my desktop, but as it was copying a
window popped up saying, "You have ran out of HDD space".  
I had nothing to delete so i clicked cancel, but when i
looked in "My computer" my hdd space had gone from 5 gigs
