When I purchased my PC from a local dealer, I received a
WIN 98 CD-ROM "for Distribution with a NEW PC only". This
CD-ROM has turned up missing and / or stolen.  How do I go
about purchasing a new WIN 98 CD-ROM "for Distribution

can't buy them anymore b/c the stores have sent them

I have windows 98 upgraded from windows 95 with a 8GB
hard drive that was Gateway factory partioned into four
parts (C,D,E,F).

I recent formated my pc and have finally successfully
reinstalled everything.
However it says my hard drive (c:) has a capacity of
1.99GB, when previously it was about 20GB.

can anyone help? I defragged my hard drive and now have
all kinds of problems.I got a messege that it had to
restart a couple of times, so I turned off all programs
that werent needed and it defragged ok, but now  it runs

I had somebody install a new hard drive and reinstall

have four. Can I repartition the hard drive now with

What seems to be the big mystery to reformatting HD and
reloading W98, or any OS? I know you have to locate
drivers,but can't find any info in those BIG, FAT computer

have to disconnect one in order to use the other.

Is it possible to use a USB flash drive as virtual memory? It seems
even with USB 1.0, it is faster than using the hard drive as the
virtual memory.
