Help PLZ Anyone
My PC no longer see's the CD or DVD drives...I figured it
was the drivers, but in the Control Panel, System, Device
Manager,  it doesn't even show any drives. What do I do

I reformatted my computer using the boot disk that came w/
the computer. It made a partition for some reason, so I
deleted the extended partiotn (which was D: Drive). Still
the C: drive only showed 1.99gb when the Hard Drive is

I have high speed internet service, but my computer is
slow.   I was told to defrag, that would help.  When I
degrag, it shows it is working, but it always goes to 1%
then back to 0% - I let it run for 24 hours and it still

My 31/2" floppy is now shown as a 5 1/4" floppy.It's
become a MS-DOS. PLEASE HELP!

I'm running WindowsXP on my computer. But I'm interested
in also having Windows98. I already know how to to this,
I just want to find out how to get a copy of Windows98.
I tried looking in Microsoft's web site, apparently they

APPROPRIATE DISC.  HOWEVER, WHEN I TRIED TO LOAD IT I
RECEIVED A MESSAGE.  "YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM HAS AN
OPERATING SYSTEM INSTALLED, WHICH CANNOT BE UPGRADED BY

Windows 98 SE slow when second hard disk installed01 Oct 2003 09:58 GMT4
I've added a second harddisk as Primary Slave to a Win 98
SE PC. First hdd is Primary Master. Second IDE channel has
CD-Rom and CD-Writer. First hdd has 3 logical drives.
Second has got only one logical drive. Both are FAT32, bot

I am getting this message when I boot up and when I try to
access any thing that has to do with the system such
as ,msconfig and regedit.  Does anyone know what I can do?

I bought a new computer and put the old master drive from
the old cumputer into the slave position in the new one to
transfer a few files.  After having problems reading the
old drive on the new computer I discovered through "fdisk"
