In my computer properties, the prefromance tab say's my system file is using Ms-Dos compatibilty mode not FAT32. I tried to reformat my hard disk, same problem appears. Then, I tried to use a bootable Win98SE floppy to boot

My hard drive is getting full and I would like to replace it, but I don't wnat to lose the data that is on it. Can I clone my old drive, or is there some suggestion you might have to help me.

I have a reference to a file *.dbx that does not exist anymore, every time I empty the recycling bin or do maintenance on the disk to reclaim directories or file structure, that long file name reference keep coming back.

I reformatted my HD, ran FDisk, Fat 32 and reinstalled Win98. Now Win reports the HD as a 1.99GB drive instead of 4.2GB. If I run FDisk it reports 1 primary partition of 4104 MG (4 GB). If I run CHKDSK it reports a 2.1 GB
