On hard disk controler in device manager there is "!"
yellow exclamatio mark and cd rom isn't working.
bios detects it but "My computer" doesnt show drive D.
Plz help me!

I have installed a scanner which works ok but I can't use
Scan Disk or the defragger until I plug out the scanner

I have a file that is located on my C:\Windows\system
directory which I am trying to delete to free up some disk
space.  Each time an attempt is made to delete the file,

After doing a clean re-install of W98SE to a 30 GB
W.D.307AA hard disk, the C: Properties states that its
capacity is 503 MB.  Free space is 249 MB.  I haven't
even installed any programs, yet!  What could I have done

My a: drive runs randomly with no disk inserted both when I

for some reason my floppy disk drive has changed from 3
1/2" floppy disk capacity to 5 1/4" floppy disk drive.

I need a simple answer, just learning as I go.  I have w98
and commands are failing and not working as they should,
it was recomended by my internet provider help desk that I
reinstall w98, but after much frustration I found out that

I had 20GB on my laptop, now I only have 2GB. Well, at

My daughter accidently switched the A drive to FAT 32. Now
when I install a floppy it ask's to format the disk. Even
if I formatt the disk I still will not work. Any help out

I use Windows 98SE. From time to time I receive diskettes
with files on them that have titles written either in
Russian, Ukrainian or Belarusian. In other words, they are
written using the Cyrillic alphabet. Windows 98 does not

Defragmenter never gets past checking for errors or 0%.
