My IDE CDrom and CDRW drives suddenly started giving me this error, "Disk in drive X is not formatted", when ever I try to access a CD or put on in the drive. They obviosly worked when I reloaded all my software. BIOS

I used to have windows 98 s.e and I upgraded it to windows 2000. the installation was succesful but my memory has been decreased. i used to have 5.0 GB but it's now 2.31GB. Could any one help me retrieve the memory back?

I am adding an additional 40GB drive to a Gateway P5-120. The BIOS is: AMIBIOS ver. 1.00.05.DQ0T. The OS is WIN98SE. BIOS and FDISK can only make a 8GB partition. How can I get the BIOS to recognize the entire drive?
