hi there! i am trying to install windows 98 on a 133mhz
machine.  the funny thing is that the computer does not
recognize the d drive right away and when it does get
working it tries to install windows to the floppy drive.

I formatted my computor and fdisk now it says i only have

I cannot run my scan disk it tells me it starts and stops
ten times because windows is writing to it. Also cannot
run the defragmenter never goes past 0% please help and

I've loaded a game for my son and the computer says I need
a 32-bit cd rom driver as a minimum. Where can I find
this? I am running windows 98 2nd.

I cannot get CD ripping software to 'see' my CD drive. I
don't have problems getting Windows Media Player to be
able to copy off .wma files, but I want to create mp3's.
I can use the CD drive OK for normal data or audio

Because of the FAT limitations in 2k and XP, it is not possible to easily
format more HD's.
I have to format quite a lot of harddisks per week (about 40), all in FAT32,
and all larger than 40GB.

I've been receiving this message since Win95 on numerous
systems with various software installations and have yet
to find any reference to the cause or fix on the MS site.  
Any ideas?

i just used the upgrade to change to 98 but not the
computer will only start in safe mode and i can't
uninstall 98 for some reason when i try...what else to
try?

My C drive is running low on space, and my D drive partition is now
empty.
I would like to keep the D drive, so my question is how problematic is
it to move the entire C:\Program File folder into the D drive? Ive

drive or network connection that the shortcut 'Shortcut to

Driver: -  MS USB Flash Disk?  I have searched the MS KB
without finding a reference to a  Win 98 driver.  Win 2K &
WinXP have native support for this device.

Win 98.  Since new power supply was installed, must press
F1 to complete boot sequence and CDRom was not accessubke,
also the A floppy drive was not accessible.  Opened case,
found flat gray cable not plugged into CD.  Plugged it in,
