How do I stop a disk drive from mirroring? It mirrors
the 'C' drive to 'D', bumping down all other drives. I
think this prevents me from accessing my cd-rom (which is
the main problem).

Just paid Wal-mart too much for a usb jump drive to

I transferred lots of files from my Windows 98 hard drive
to a CD-RW disc using the drop and drag method.  I then
tried to open the contents of the disc on my Windows XP
home PC.

done fdisk and format hd. installed win 98 w/se update all
ran well untell shutdown for the night.went to startup the
next morning ,on power up got this ( insert system disk in
drive.press any key when ready} even with startup disk in

I have Windows 98 on on older computer. All was
well till I started getting messages saying that
I was out of space on my C/hard drive. I converted
to FAT 32 and my floppy drive became inaccessible

After running the following sequence:
Start / Programs / Accessories / System Tools / Disk Cleanup
when I select drive C: to be cleaned up, I see a list of files to delete in

Is Serial ATA supported by Win98?  In otherwords, when I
do a clean install onto my harddisk which is SATA with on
board controller (no add-on controller card required) will

whilst usb flash drives are straight plug n play on win2k, win98 needs a
driver
problem: each brandmake (and there are 100's) has a different 'win98 driver'
anyone know of a generic usb driver for win98 ?
