hp support site says they no longer can download drivers
for win 98 for this model. any suggestions ?

When I try to download to floppy disc, my computer says
that my A drive in not accesible.  I was told that I need
to go in and reactivate my A drive. Can anyone help me?

I seem to have a problem...disc scan found 10 bad
clusters which it has fixed...but acknowledged that there
was physical damage and suggested running scan disk every
day and keep things totally backed up. I have also

I want to purchase windows 98 software, I like it much
better than XP which I have now. I am so frustrated with
XP I want to just wipe it off and start with 98. but I
cannot find ANY place that sells it. any suggestions?

I have an excel file on a floppy disk that got resaved
with the extention.xlw.  I cannot open it.  If I rename it
and change the extention to .xls will this mess up my info?
I also treied to copy to my documents and it would not

i cannot run defragment or scandisk,message says windows
or another program is writing,also when shutting down
nothing hapens,sometimesthe screen just hangs there

I'm using W98SE. After I installed a new HDD (Maxtor 120G)
my sistem crashes all the time. I get message: Error
writing to disk. Can't write to disk in drive C ...

I've seen the correction on this somewhere but unable to
find it again.  Have a system that accesses the floppy
drive on shutdown.  The drive beats for a while and then
the system shuts down normal.  Any one have an idea on

I got a new hard drive and used my old one as the slave.
So I set the old hard drive as the slave and the new one
as the master but the old one doesn't show up under my
computer and I can't get any of my old files off it. Does

My System Info shows 39193 MB (FAT32) available on Drive D.
In "Drive Space" it shows only 4 GB capacity and 2 GB have
been used. Why do I get this difference in readings about
the 40 GB hard drive?

i am trying to install a new seagate baracouda 120 GB
ultra ATA\100 on a windows 98 pc but it dont work.
the windows cant find the hard disk.
is there any drivers or something that i can do.
