Dear Ben Myers, this evening when I turned on the PC after
coming home from work,the "Non system disk error" have
become "Insert system disk" message. So I tried to boot up
Windows 98 in Safe Mode to see whether the problem

When i try to run scandisk I get a message: fatal
exception 0E has occured at 0028:C02A20CC in VX Vwin32(05)
+00000BF4. How can I correct this problem.

I'm using W98 2nd edition, Hebrew enabled. I ran Scandisk
on a 20GB hard disk after Norton Utility defragmentation
did not complete the job.

In the event I need to re-install my system after Janurary

i am trying to install win xp on a machine with an iwill ka266plus m/b
(nightmare). aside from all the other problems i am having and the absolute
lack of any support on iwill website, it will not allow me to access the win
98 start up disk. it just says

I installed Linux (Mandrake 8.0) using the free space in my windows
partition. The problem is that I cannot see a drive unit assigned to
the Linux partition from Windows. Windows thinks that all the space in
the hard drive is available to it, but this is not true.

I did the unthinkable yesterday and edited a file in A:\ and now every
time I open a program, A: drive is checked first ~:-( Drives a man
crazier....... Has anyone any other ideas other then the standard one's
to fix this mess?        I've deleted and or check every .pif and .tmp

audio cd, when removed and reinserted drive was "not
ready". since i had previously tested this cdr in a
