aFTER REFORMATTING MY HARD DRIVE THE SYSTEM WILL NOT LET
ME RELOAD WIN98 FROM MY D DRIVE.I GET THE MESSAGE YOU MAY
HAVE DISK COMPRESSION INSTALLED WHICH I HAVENT.AND THEN
WILL NOT CONTINUE.

My son shared my drive on windows 98 to his xp and now
my drive shows up on xp but can not get it back over to

I GROOFED AND DELETED A PORTION OF WIN98. NOW I CAN'T BOOT
MY PC UP. (DON'T HAVE A BOOT FLOPPY DISK OR RESCUE FLOPPY)
ALSO THE MESSAGE SAYS,"MISSING SYS.INT OR MISSING OPERATING

Can anyone help me to install a 60 GB hard drive in
Windows 98 S.E. Can't get into DOS, can't get past initial
bootup screen....won't recognise the hard drive at all ! I
have it set up as a Secondary Master.

After two minutes of inactivity, the hard disk on my PC
starts to read and write. System monitor also shows 100%
of CPU activity.  
The knowlage forum suggest this is swap file re-

Error reporting available space remaining.  My computer

assuming it is because Norton Utilities picked up a bad
sector on the hard drive in question). Got two hard drives
