When I am asked to install my windows 98 original disk the
file "secur32.dll" cannot be found.  It does not allow me
to install the software I need, so how do I get this file
on my computer?

I am recieving a message stating that the computer is
unabel to write to disc in drive c. push any key to

My daughters computer has the problem of no start menu, no
icons etc.  After researching, it said to reboot it with a
backup disc.  We attempted this, but the backup is on a
floppy, and it says to reload with a CD???? How do I

1200mghertz sys  the bios loads the cdrom and cd burner  
but when it goes to windows theres no drives  d:\ or e:\
in explorer it says there is no cd roms how do i get

When I boot up I usually get the following message.

I want to know how to remove file information.
After i delete a file and run an undelete program it replaces the first file
name with a $ but i want to be able to remove the WHOLE file in the FAT

I CAN'T GET SCANDISK OR DEFRAG TO COMPLETE. I GET AN ERROR

errors to be repaired." scandisk found nothing.  system
file checker shows "illegal operation" message.  still no
defrag.  scandisk cannot run now: says "restarted 10 times

I am running W98 (upgrade from W95)with two disk drives on
a PIII-500 with 512 MB RAM
     5 GB master -  partitioned in three equal partitions
(C is the boot drive, D & E are extra drives)

My computer recieves the message "Invalid System Disk"
before it starts.  I don't know what disk are they talking
abut so I can't start my computer.  What can I do to solve

on xp my disk loads perfectly. But when i use it on xp, it
says "not formatted" when it says on it(disk) "IBM
formatted" and that i previously used the disk on xp.

I've recently uninstalled several items from windows98
using the add/ remove utility. On rebooting the system the
following messege appeared "Type location of
c:\windows\command".
