Rewriter Problem [Cannot send or copy files to rewriter]04 Jan 2004 17:30 GMT1
I am trying to create some backup files. When I attempt to
drag and drop or use the "send to" menu to move a file
from the desktop to an RW disc in the Rewriter ('M'Drive)I
get this message:

I have a Compaq Presario 5151 desktop that come with a CD-
ROM Drive and a ZIP Drive. The PC is runing on Windows
98.  I recently installed a HP Photosmart printer.  Soon
after the installation, the CD-ROM and ZIP drives both

Does anybody know if there is a workaround so as to use an
external drive (120GB+ USB) on two computers - one uses
Win98 (not 98SE) and one uses Win XP.
Can't find a drive that says it will work on 98. Thanks.

Hello.  Irecently installed WIN98 on a Dell Inspiron 2650
Laptop, from CD. When the OS starts up the CD(DvDROM/CD-R
combo) does not show up in device manage, nor in windows
explorer. I have scoured the web but cannot find a

Hi I have an IBM think pad Model 390e, the operating
system is Win98.  When I go into windows explorer and I
insert a perfectly good floppy 3-1/2, with data on it and
try to access the Floppy Drive "A" I get a message saying

My Hard Drive has never been compressed. Sudenly I find
that my Hard  Drive is compressed. How to uncompress it?

Problems using my CD-ROM drive03 Jan 2004 16:22 GMT2
After placing a CD disk in my CD drive, hitting Start and
Run and typing X:\Setup (where X is my CD drive) I get a
red circled X that says "Cannot find file X:\ Setup (or
one its components). Make sure the path and filename are
