I have just installed a 120 gig hard drive (3rd hard drive
on the computer)
I tried to use the Windows Backup routine to backup my
entire C drive to a folder on the new E drive.  It got

my girlfriend now needs a windows 98 second edition disk
i have been told they do not have them anymore what can
she do..she had to reboot her computer take everything off
and now it's asking for the disk..

I added RealOne player and all my music on my hard drive
converted over to it.  I was playing music with windows
media player before the conversion.
Now, if I try to play music with RealOne, I get NO SOUND.

I'm using win 98, but I have no cd-writer, but lately, i
don't understand why can't i access my cd-rom. It says it
is not ready and is not accessible. It only works on cd's
with autorun. What could be the reason and the solution

Hi there, this will probably seem like a pretty stupid
question, and for that I apologise.
I was given a computer with windows 98, and the previous
user reformatted for me, to give me a fresh start. I have

When I insert a perfectly good floppy disk into drive "A"
and go into windows explorer and try to access the floppy
drive "A" it says the drive is not accessable or needs to

Due to an oversight on my part I never updated one of our
computers from Windows 95 to Windows 98. Now that most
applications no longer suppoert 95 I am trying to find out

ok. when i insert a normal floppy disk into drive A it
says "disk read error" and then it says to retry. so i
make sure the disk is put in properly and the door to the
drive is closed. everything else on my computer works

My computer keeps telling me that it can not run scan disk
because a program such as a disk utility has locked my C
drive.Close the program or wait for it to finish.  I can
not find any programs that are open.  How do I find what

When I try to compress my drive with DriveSpace, it stops
in the middle of the scan for disk errors and tells me I
