When I try to compress my drive with DriveSpace, it stops
in the middle of the scan for disk errors and tells me I
have disk errors. Then it tells me to run ScanDisk on
Thourough and I do all of the stuff it tells me to do and

I have an older machine using windows 98 and the hard
drive is partitioned in 2gig patitions. Is there a way to
unpartition without losing any data or programs?

Recently had a NERO CD burner installed. I am able to burn
cd-rw's but when I try to view the content (photos) my D:
drive will not open or recognize, tried opening with
another program but it says "cannot locate graphic

I have been trying very hard to defragment my computer.  I
try to scan first but the scan disk only goes half way.  I
then try to defrag and that do not even start right away,
then when it starts it goes to one percent and thats it.

My sister has a HP with OME xp home  tech said that her
motherboard  is shot. I lent her mine running 98, and
tried to use her 30G drive as a slave. the bios sees the
drive but it doesn't show in my computer. I'm assume that

K7SEM motherboard, Bios 1.1b, have used Maxtor Powermax

My cd drive reads some disks like the aol disk but will
not read a data cd burned on a Windows ME computer. I am
running Windows 98 SE. The cd can be read on my friends
Windows 98 computer but can not be read by my computer.
