I have a problem with a drive I have recently installed. I am running Win 98SE, under the device manager I show a primary master and a primary slave ... but no where else does this second drive sow up.. Can someone please help me?

My comp is telling me this when I try to access the E: drive. I went to Microsoft and this is what they said to do, and I still cannot get it. I cannot find the Mscdex.exe to replace. Can someone please explain more

I'm trying to install a SCSI hard drive. I already have an IDE drive that is partitioned into 3 virtual drives. (c:, d:, & e:) I want to make the scsi drive f: but every time I try it, it gets put in a d:. This wouldn't be bad except

when i am trying to save something in my floppy disk it makes a buzzing sound and it prompts to insert my disk in the drive. My disk however is already in the drive. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to solve it.

I have a hard drive that has corrupt windows files that I'd like to remove other data from. Is there a way or utility that can boot from a diskette and change the partition to inactive? My new system uses a raid controller and if the old disk is hooked up the bios recognizes it ...

I have tried numerous times to add a program in control panel, but had no luck. I just recently had windows 98 SE uninstalled and installed, and was trying to put some programs back into my system.

i have a 40 gh drive but windows says it is only 5xgh. the drive was installed properly. fdisk says 40gh. a while back i think there was a patch for win98 thst corrected this problem. anyone know to correct this.

What's the largest allowable partition size for FAT32? I heard it's 32gb, but Partition Magic allows creation of FAT32 partitions larger than that. In fact, I just created a 60gv FAT32 partition. Is this safe?
