I installed windows 98 on 40 gig drive partitioned as 2 20 gig drives (C and D). I also have an 8 gig drive that the bios recognizes, but Windows 98 does not show it as drive E.

Screen opens, drive activity light on, but "0% complete" does not alter, and "details" screen is blank. Have left it working for over three hours,with no apparent progress.

I'm attempting to get Windows 98 (original) to boot from a magneto optical drive (fujitsu DynaMO 640se (M2513EL)). This is a SCSI drive connected to USB. I'm attempting to use a 128MB disk formatted as Fat32.

My windows 98 book says to go to start, accessories, system tools and choose backup to back up files to a cd/dvd drive - there is no such option under system tools. How can I back up all of my files at once to a cd

I understand that in order to format my hard drive( I have Windows 98) I will need a Windows98 CD ROM. I have a CD ROM labeled "Microsoft Windows98 -Upgrade". Is this the CD that I need? Thanks for the info.
