I formatted my hard drive by commanding a C:\ format. Now
the computer tells me on boot up that a cd rom driver is
missing and i don't know how to reinstall it. all i get
when i boot up is A:\> i tried putting the drive on a

I bought a CD Burner and installed it; it works fine.
However, now my DVD rom is not recognized. It used to
be "N" but now when I go to "My computer" I do not see the

Well I tried telling Microcenter here in Columbus that
they could get the keycode off the old hard drive that
they were replacing and they looked at each other and said
that that was not the way that they knew how to do it.

I am reinstalling my Windows98 after a crash and can't
find my product keycode.  I just read a reply on this site
that said it can be extracted from the registry.  How do I
do this and can I do it in my computer's current state.

I have win 98se on a Dell Latitude. My mp3 player / mass
storage device came with the drivers for this operating
system and loaded properly. When the device is plugged

I am contemplating the installation of a cd writer and should be glad to know whether cd-r discs
literally can be used only once or is it possible to record on unused space at a later time? Does
this also apply to cd-rw discs?

I cann't copy data or anything to cd rom, it tell me there
