Windows 98SE won't shutdown. Gets as far as "Windows is shutting down" then just sits there. Does anyone know what files are associated with the shutdown procedure? Can anyone help?

Whenever I run Defragmentor or Scan Disk, they will continually restart. A message appears saying that there are too many Windows programs running, but there are none. Anyone got an idea on this?

I am having problems using my CD-rom. It will not work at all. It was working fine until a few days ago. When I insert a disc, the light comes on as if the drive is trying to work, but nothing happens.

I seem to be having a similar problem to others here. I have a new 40 GB drive on an older PC. I did a BIOS upgrade and now it does recognize that the hard drive is 40 GB but when I use FDISK I can still only create an 8GB
