IBecause an older PC blew up, I got a new one and want to change over the hard drives. Although autodetect works, then the new PC with the older drive comes up with Invalid System Disk message.

Does anybody know of a good program to fix bad sectors on hard drives? Do those programs really work or should I just get a new hard drive. Scan disk found one bad sector on my drive and when I defragmented, I saw one bad unit. I

I have 2 hard drives on my pc. What I need to know is what program can I use to tell windows the actual size of each drive. Drive Space only sees 2mb of each one. Is this the last 2mb left on each one? C:drive is 6g and D: is 10g. I

Purchased a CDRW. "HOTBURN" software wouldn't recognize the drive as a CDRW. Installed new burn software "NERO" provided with drive. Works fine when I want to Burn threw the "Nero" program.

I want to update to Win 98 which came with my old laptop. (When I got my laptop I uninstalled Win 98 and put on Win 95.)I have the disk jacket with the product key on it but the disk is missing.

I just got an 80 GB Hard drive. The bios recognizes the hard drive as 80 GB, but Win98 only recognizes 8 GB. I formatted it for FAT32, I checked the bios and see that it is set for auto detect and as I said it sees it as 80 GB.

I need to re-install Win98 to a new larger HD. I put the new 30GB hard-drive in as Drive 1 and the old 3GB as Drive 2. I ran FDISK after the install, but it only recognizes the 1st 8GB. The rest is marked as BAD. I tried using

I tried opening a file I had saved on my floppy disk. Well, I have chosen the wrong program to open it with. How can I change this so that it goes back to the original program it needs to open with.
