Hi, i had some problems in the past with my old computer
and there is so much junk on there that it isnt even
worth saving. All i want to do is delete evything off of

Ok, I have a Windows 98 SE disk that is very badly
scratched. When I formatted (deleted) the whole computer
to start over, I installed the disk. When it got to 56%,

When I put a disk in the floppy drive it says that the
disk needs to be formatted and when I try to do this it
says it cannot do this because they are damaged and other
reasons. When I try it on other computers it works fine.

I have been trying to figure this one out for a while now
and its driving me crazy.  I installed a 40 gig hd in a
celeron 500mhz cpu. ran good for a while and then i had

I just added a 120 GB hard drive to my win98 system. I
then divided the drive into a 200 MB (G:\), and 3 8GB
partitions (H:\ I:\ and J:\). My zip drive is k:\ and the
CD drive is L:\ .There are other partition but win98 does

I got a error message while trying to install a upgrade
from win98 to XP. When I click on d:\ I get a message
saying that D:\ has moved or removed. I tried to extract

C drive contains work type stuff and the D drive is mainly for games. Over

I just got a new hard disk - Hitachi 7DK250.
The BIOS recognises it fine.. Windows98SE can detect the drive fine.

I'm on Windows 98 (primarily) with a dual-boot on Win2000. My drives are
partitioned into uhmm..9 drives (C to K, excluding 2 CDrives  if there
should be a bearing on this). My OSes are working fine except that I
recently noticed that they're not doing the "normal" blue screen ...

Our system is not recognizing any floppy drives.  We have
been through 5, I repeat 5, floppy drives and I can't
believe they are all bad.  The message we get when we try
to access the floppy is "drive a is not accessible -
