Recenyl a friend with a Win98 PC, with FAT32 file system. Recently the PC
had a "crash", and when it was brought back up somehow it has become
corrupt. When lookingat the Dos level, the file system is visible, with the
Folder (directory) names concat to 8 Characters with the ~ as ...

How do I prevent WEB site from opening on there own on my
PC. I suspect one of my son accessed those sites and now I
go away from my PC for a few minutes. When I come back, a
web site is open. Sometimes it's a news site other times

When I insert a Zip disc in my computer and attempt to do
a backup of selected files, at the time I select Start in
the MS backup program, a dialog box pops up with this
message: "This media is not formatted with this product's

I have a win 98 se pc installed w/ one CD-ROM and one
CD-Writer. Both of them run normally for a long time.
Then both of them fail in any operation, even reading a
disc.

When I defrag my computer, it goes up to 10% and then the
whole computer freezes.  I cannot close out of it or
continue to proceed anything else.  What can I do?

I began running disk defrag last night around 9pm and as
of 11am this morning, it is still running but the details
show 0% complete still....is this normal? My hard drive is
only 13GB.

CD-ROM NOT WORKING DVD WORKS FINE.  WHEN I PUT A CD IN

Lost both the E and F drives.  Just disappeared. Cannot
play CD's or use burner.  What happened?  How do I get
them back?  Thanks for any help.
