looks like i inadvertently downloaded a virus while dl'ing vid clips. anyways, win98se will not boot at all and the following message appears: "Error 1 loading OS. This may be due to a virus.

Windows 98SE won't shutdown. Gets as far as "Windows is shutting down" then just sits there. Does anyone know what files are associated with the shutdown procedure? What could cause this?

Windows 98 2nd. Edition - There is a folder in the Windows Directory and also in the System Director that has no name, just a control character. The folder is empty, and has not information assosicated with it. Don't know

My computer sometimes locks up when I try to access my floppy drive. I kept rebooting and trying and eventually I copied the files I needed from my hard drive. Is there any way I can tell if it's the drive itself or something
