Made a mistake and restored my lost drivers by using an
old saved backup of my hard-drive.  Result=lost four years
worth of data.
Anyway to Undo a System Restore Backup w/o going broke?

When I reinstalled Windows 98Se it installed on a
differned partiotion from the original instllation. Now I
cannot access the old partition where my programs and data
are stored. How can a access the old partition with no

I have an old computer that I want to instal Win98SE on.  
I have a licened OEM version of Win 98SE.  The problem I
have is the Boot Disk that came with the master CD has be
over written as a Start Up Disk.  Are these the same

When I put a data cd into my cd drive, shoudln't Windows
Explorer start up automatically? (Audio CD's start
Windows Media Player just fine.)

looks like i inadvertently downloaded a virus while dl'ing
vid clips.  anyways, win98se will not boot at all and the
following message appears:
"Error 1 loading OS.  This may be due to a virus.

I've tried to use a CD in my D drive (instead of a floppy)
for my Quicken backup as well as for downloads of drivers
and programs from various sites.  Whenever I try this I
get a message indicating that I don't have access to the

Windows 98SE won't shutdown. Gets as far as "Windows is shutting down"
then just sits there. Does anyone know what files are associated with
the shutdown procedure?  What could cause this?

My CD-ROM is detected in CMOS, but once windows loads my
CD-ROM isn't in My Computer, how do I get my CD-Rom back?

First, I installed a brand new HD with XP to run my

my XP HD won't boot XP, so I've switched by to the Win98

Windows 98 2nd. Edition -  There is a folder in the
Windows Directory and also in the System Director that has
no name, just a control character.  The folder is empty,
and has not information assosicated with it.  Don't know

My computer sometimes locks up when I try to access my
floppy drive.  I kept rebooting and trying and eventually
I copied the files I needed from my hard drive.  Is there
any way I can tell if it's the drive itself or something
