I am looking for some advice, due to a panic situation unleashed by
myself... :(
I used to have two partitions on a 20 Gb hard disk:

Hi,
    This may be a dumb question, but i can't seem to find the answer
anywhere.  I've seen on some cd's that have a boot sector on them that
they have the ability to continue the boot order (by bypassing the

I bought this computer a year ago and upgraded from 95 to
98 and had stuff from my old computer transferred over.  I
was told that after I paid for the 98 upgrade all of the
files I needed would be on my hard drive however backup

My computer is refusing to recognise the floppy disk drive
and a message comes up that reads "Disk utility locked".

I ran ScanDisk on my External Hard Disk Drive after the
deframenter program gave me "Error ID# DEFRAG004", and
told me to run ScanDisk. ScanDisk found errors, fixed the
errors, but created 3 folders named DIR00000, DIR00001, &

Have a BenQ CD-RW that was workingg okay until I viewed
some clip art.  Also have an Iomega external USB CD RW and
both worked okay for past two years running 98SE.  
Went to upgrade to XP Home and got a error message.  Was

I Am running on Win98 with a Maxtor 13Gb hard drive and I
keep having to burn files on CDs to make room so I finally
decided to get a second hard drive. I bought a Maxtor 120Gb
hard drive and installe it as a slave for extra storage. My

expected. Stopping in DOS, both can be read - one A

My hard drive is partitioned into 1.95G chunks because of
BIOS limitations.  I have copied stuff originally on C to
other drives, I have "disk cleaned up", defragmented, etc,
and avoid adding anything to C.  When I add up the size of
