Can't find a cd for Windows 98 Second Edition20 Apr 2004 10:05 GMT3
Is there anybody who knows where I can find one.  I got my
printer (HP Deskjet 560c) at a yard sale.  It didn't come
with a disk.  I tried Staples, and they said try HP.  They
couldn't help me.  I tried emailing this site before but

I ran ScanDisk on my External Hard Disk Drive after the
deframenter program gave me "Error ID# DEFRAG004", and
told me to run ScanDisk. ScanDisk found errors, fixed the

I posted a message yesterday about my disk not formatting
correctly.  After a lot of trouble shooting, I figured
out that my laptop (Win98) is seeing the drive as a 720

I'm getting an error message when I try to access my cd-
rom drive.  It says "D:\ is not accessible  The device is
not ready".  Can anyone give a hint as to what I need to
do to correct the problem?  I'd appreciate any help anyone

I installed a 30 gig harddisk as the primary active
master with the correct jumper settings and then
installed a 2 gig slave primary disk.  The motherboard
recognized it and assigned it to the d: drive.  I can

After defrag completes and asks to exit or choose another
disk, the disk is still fragmented. repeting defrag
process does not defrag drive and severe fragmentation
continuess to exist.

The floppy drive on our system has started periodically
spinning for no reason.  It tries to access it for about
30 seconds, and then stops.  It happens every 20 minutes
