need to upgrade to second edition to use wireless

Runing win 98 se on dell PIII 40 gb h/d. had to
run "fdisk" to get win98 to recognize more than 2gb
on c:. I partitioned c:= c:,d:, &e: logical drives but
still only got about 13 gb. Anyway, now I can't run defrag

Hard drive activity light on case stays lit all the time.
In safe mode it goes out. I shut down all programs
running in windows 98...still same problem.

I recently had a new hard drive installed on my computer,
but nothing was saved in the process.  I reinstalled all
my CDs that came with the computer when I purchased it,

Any hot tips on recouping hard disk space?? I've taken off all programs I
don't need, run disk cleanup, deleted all the internet temp files, run
AdAware and deleted all the spyware and regained about 200 MB.  Then almost

With Win98 CD installed, get option for booting.
Select "Boot from hard drive"
Message on screen is "NLDR missing". Any clues as to what
that means. Hard drive is accessable from DOS when booting
