An interesting puzzle....When i insert Audio CDs into the
CD-ROM or CD-RW (have 2 CD drives)it plays automatically.
However, if I inset a program CD (eg. game CD) it does not
auto play - even though these particular CDs used to do

when i was using windows xp, i can access to both hard drives (C & D).  Now
after reformating the drive C (master drive) and reinstalling windows 98, i
am unable to see 2nd hard disk (D) thru my computer or windows explorer. But

The problem is in the bios, the bios reconizes the drive,
however in Windows 98 it is not reconized at all. How do
I get Windows 98 to reconize the second drive?

I am looking to upgrade to Windows XP. It would be easier
if my system could boot from the CD, where it would pick
up the XP install disk. I have upgraded my BIOS, so I

I am trying to fresh install a Win98SE PC using brand new
hardware including 2x 250gB SATA hard disks. BIOS/CMOS etc
are all set correctly and reporting 250gB etc. Fdisk
however only reports about 46gB each.

Because of a hard disk failure the c:\windows\system folder got damaged.
Window no longer boots and reports 'Abort Retry Fail', retries wont help.
