i hope someone will be able to help me,
when i turn on my computer the following message appears:
"Incorrect System Disc please insert correct disc and
press any key to continue"

I am running scandisk on a computer - of course I always get the
warning 'Scan disk has stopped serveral times...' blah blah blah.  Now
of course I have left the room during this procedure in hopes it would
complete...but no.  This dialog window opens up and waits.

I get error message "F:\ is not accessible. Device is not
ready". "F" is the CD ROM drive and used to work well. How
shall I get it back to work?

After booting up using Win98 the system seems to eat up resources quickly
and then will not release them after exiting whatever programs seem to be
hogging the memory, such as Norton's Security or Zonealarm, etc....
Is there a good utility to flush out ram and make those resources

Hi everyone! I need some help with windows 98. I have a
compaq presario notebook and I've accidentaly removed the
partition which comprehended the system recovery files. I
only have a quick restore disk, and not a windows 98 setup

as usual and then I had created an additional D: drive to

After reading a zip disk the properties function always
displays the initial disks capacity even though you have
an empty disk in the drive. The Microsoft Backup program
thinks the disk is full and will not write to it. Is there

Windows only allows me to view my files while in "list
mode".. while in any other mode (details, etc) the folder
appears to be empty... any help would be appreciated

problem.  We are attempting to repair damage done by the
Klez h. virus on the computer.  I have tried to load
Norton to help us with the issue, but I keep getting the
