I am trying to copy large files from one PC to another. The
3.5 DS HD disks are too small, so I tried to use a 700MB CD-R.
When I try to copy, the CD drive says that there is no disk
in drive or the drive is not ready.

I am reformatting hard drive for a friend on an HP system
running Windows 98. When I put in the system recovery
disk I get an error: "Can't ready read drive M." M being
the CD-ROM drive. The drive appears to be functioning ok.

    I removed a 800MB hdd, with two partitions (two logical drives), from one
computer and put it in an older Compaq 386 computer.  Both computers have
the same MsDos 6.22 systems.   The 386 can access all the space in "C:" drive,
but when I try to access "D:" drive,  I get an  ...

I am getting a "non-system disk or disk error - replace
and strike any key when ready" at start-up when there is
no disk in the floppy or disk drives.  What else would
cause this?

I had to reformat my harddrive and reload win 98.  When
the load was somplete and it rebooted a message comes up
saying
Windows protection arror. You need to restart your

My Mother in Law's PC loads up until the wallpaper appears
and then locks up.  It does this in Safe Mode as well.  She
did not make a boot disk while the PC was working.  I have

I am having two problems with my CD drive, 1) many times it does not eject,
I have to restart my computer to be able to eject. 2) I pasted videos on cd
