I am running windows 98.  When trying to bootup "scandisk
encountered a data error while reading the FAT entry for
cluster 376832. This error prevents scandisk from fixing
this drive:. The only option I have is to click "OK".

I have recently reformatted wndws2000 back to wndws98. I
have on floppy disk copies of jpegs/gifs from another
wndws98. They loaded fine when pc I have now was a
wndws2000. But now, I get (A)inaccessible. I go to

Will reformatting a hd overwrite and rebuild the boot sector (MBR)?

I \'m working on win 98 and my system is down. When I try
to start it up it gives me these two errore 1782 Disk
Controller Failure and 3C301 Keyboard error. What does
this mean and how can I get around it to boot mysystem.

I was seeing my win98 OS and trying to copy my document
folder to other folder.Suddenly the pc stayed without
doing anything , like it was freeze.I power off the pc

I partitioned 100% and formatted using Win98SE boot disk
from Win2000 OS. After restart it just keeps coming back
to A prompt. I can't get 98SE cd to read it just sits at

..and OS win98 ....it was unstable, who knows why, so I decided to reinstall
win98...but it seems to be very complicaed this time.
I did "fdisk"....but cannot format c: ????.....it simply won`t do
