my friend has windows 98, he's trying to boot it up he
loads the emergency floppy disc then it asks him to put
in the windows 98 cd rom which starts to load up it
loads about 95% and then comes up with the error

My problem: anytime I use a: drive, normal floppy drive,
in Win 98, either from windows baased progam (including
explorer) or DOS program running in window, computer locks
up after successfully accessing & utilising the floppy
