Help! I have two computers. One is a Compaq Deskpro EN
which had Windows 2000 professional on it. I bought the
computer second hand but was given no boot disk or
otherwise. I don't have a product key for OS. The problem

I sincerely appreciate the help I've received regarding
how to remove malware, but at this point it would be
easier to simply uninstall IE6 and reinstall it.

I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled windows. I get
the error message"Invalid VxD dynamic link call to device
3, service B" whenever I try to open Windows in normal
mode. I can successfully open in safe mode, just like the

a 4 gig harddrive appears to have duplicated itself.  
phantom shows in windows, some dos; but not in fdisk.  
norton utilities freeze at attempts to correct.

I started getting the hard disk full warning when my
2.2gig C:\ was about half full. Without adding any further
software to the disk it now shows the disk as almost
totally full. Waht could be filling my hard drive?

My daughter has my older computer  with Windows 98
(upgraded from a 95) and she removed Norton Antivirus
program to install another brand of antivirus.  After

I bought a used laptop with Windows 98 installed and am
having problems.  The hard drive shows up as an icon, but
looks to be covered in snow?  I'm assuming this means
there is a problem.

This is an addendum to my previous message.  Regarding my
search of the Registry to find the entries that this mal-
ware program has loaded, when I go into HKEY_CURRENT_USER
under Software, I find a suspicious entry: aaa_soft with

I upgraded from W98Se to WinXP. The man I bought the
computer from said I should have chosen NTSF instead of
FAT 32 when upgrading. I don't remember having a choice.
