When I change the connection settings on the internet options menu, they revert to old (default?) values when I reboot. Is there some way to make the parameters I set stay that way?. I seem to recall a button that does this but I cant find it.

I have an old Compaq presario laptop which hasnt been used for some time. When booting the following shows up (after pressing f10 it tries to enter setup but then just hangs) any advice would be greatly appreciated

I am running win 98/2nd edition. It seems to me I used to be able to right click on my desktop or in a folder and have an option to create a new folder. Now it's gone! I can't create any new folders. What have I done? How can I undo it? I searched, but I only found one related ...

I am running Windows 98se. My Girlfriend, bless her soul, created two password based users, for she and I, and logged in using her username and password. She then personalized her desktop by putting a couple folders that I had there into the recycle bin.

When Defragmenting my hard drive it never goes past 2%. After reaching 2%, it loops back to 0. Disk Scan also fails. Disk Scan says that it has been interrupted ten times by a progarm writing to the disk. I don't think I have anything running since I closed all the

I originally had a 4.00gb HD as my main C:\ drive (with call of my system files on it)....the drive was also partitioned to create 3 drives...Drives C:\, E:\, F:\. Over time it has out grown the small size and I decided to install a new drive. I also have a 2ndary drive

A customer has had a mailbox.pst file somehow deleted on her FAT32 disc drive. The customer did not delete the file and it did not pass through the recycle bin... The system has antivirus on and is up to date, so I am at a loss to understand how this has happened.
