Today I installed a SB Live 24 bit sound card on my computer.  I don't think
they are related but now I am getting Windows Protection Error and prompts
to restart my computer.  It will only start in sade mode.

I didn't delete anything. I did install a memory chip upgrade. All of my
document files are GONE. My programs are all intact but can't find any of the
files they created. Is it possible the folder is hiding somewhere? It's not
in the recycle bin.

I have a Compaq PII 400MHz that I run Win 98 SE on (all the latest updates.)
I started with a 2GB HD, then upgraded to a 40 GB (both Western Digital).
