I got a curious problem that puzzles me.
I have a PI 200MHz system with the following drive setup (2 drives and DVD's
with the standard IDE controller, 4 drives via a Promise ata100 TX2):
- c: 2.5 GB standard IDE primary master

I have two W98 systems, with two very different IE Favorites Folder.
I want to combine the IE Favorites folder that is each machine, into a
single Folder.  In other words, append, versus export/import.
When I use import/export, as expected, one folder overwrites the

I have a phantom D: drive on my machine of zero size, the remainder of
the drives being moved up a letter.
My Computer -> Properties -> Perfomance shows "Drive D is using an
MS-DOS compatibility mode file system". I did not do this.

Win98SE.
I have an 80GB USB drive formatted to NTFS. I installed the drivers that
came with it onto Win98SE. I plug in the drive. P&P recognizes it and I can
see it in the Device Manager. But I cannot see it in My Computer or anywhere

O k guys I have the two hard drives in with the 8 gb set to slave and the 2
gb set as master. The w98 boots up but I dont believe it regonizes the slave
how do you set it to read it?  both have w98 on it already, what I would like
to do is format both and install it on the master ...

I have had trouble with W98SE and LBA partitions.  I was getting phantom
drives on some PC's.  It turns out to be a bug in IO.SYS that occurs
when an LBA partition exists in or follows a 0x05 extended partition.
The problem is that when IO.SYS is calculating the absolute key to

I know that 98 has problems recognizing drives bigger than 64GB, so my
question is this: Do I download the 64GB fdisk fix first, or should I connect
the new drive and then download the fdisk fix?
