I have a Gateway Solo 9300 CX with 12GB internal HD  and would like to
extend its life before spending hundreds on a newer system before VISTA comes
out.
I need as big an external HD I can get. USB or Firewire.

Is it possible to boot a Win98 box with the Win98 (floppy) Boot Disk and run
the defrag command from there?
Whenever I try this I get a message like "bad command" or "you must run this
command from Windows".

I've installed a 120 gig Seagate drive into an older HP computer.  I
partitioned the drive as follows:
c:  16 gig  primary - active
d:  25 gig  logical

I remotely connected to a machine on my network. I deleted a file and then
went to see if I could locate it in either the remote machine's or my
recycle bin, but could not. Is there a way to recover this deleted file?

I have a friend who NEEDS to upgrade from W95 to W98. He has a
Windows 98 installation disk, complete with serial number, but after
checking the validity of his HD it gave an error that Windows
98'UPGRADE' is required for this machine. Can you help/ advise?
