My computers cd rom drive dosen't show.
on cheking hardware properties it shows error :
Compatablity mode paging reduces overall system performance
Drive C is using MS DOS compatiblity mode file system

Just installed Win98se on a friends machine, I've been using the CD ROM
drive to install drivers etc, but all of a sudden the drive gives a message:
"D:\ is not accessable. The device is not ready" So I can't carry on with
the upgrade.

I have only one floppy drive in reality.  It was faulty so I installed a new
one yesterday.  Since then, Windows recognises the new drive but as drive B
and insists that the old drive is still there as drive A.

Hi folks,   have managed to mess up my machine......the current symptom that

I connect using dialup, but if I try to do a defrag or move a large
amount of files from one folder to another the dialup connection stops.
When the defrag finishes, the connection resumes as normal.

I am having problems starting up.  After the dialog box for Network Password,
