My CD-RW drive worked just fine until a few days ago. It recognized all CD- Rs and CD-RWs , but now it simply stopped working. When the drawer is opened, the light comes on, but when I insert a CD-R or CD-RW I get the message "Q is not accessible.

A couple of spyware searches indicated that the follow file with a font extension is a severe threat. It shows the location as C/windows/fonts/acrsecI.fon. I have been unable to locate such a file so I can remove it. None of the fonts show up with this name. I haven't

I've recently put a 40 GB drive in an external enclosure with an USB connection, but have problems with using the drive. When I try to partition the drive (using the standard W98se FDISK) it comes back as a a drive of only 6 GB (which probably has to do with the 32

I'm using 98SE on an old AMD Athlon 1.4Ghz, hard drive is formtted in FAT32 but i do have an external USB drive that is 200gig in size and formatted in NTFS, if i plug this into 98SE system will i be able to access it or will i have to apply some kind of patch?

From time to time, I come across an article about CD roms, etc. What I have learned so far, CD-R (I use) is better than CD-RW for long term storage of important data. Also, how they are stored can have a bearing on their "life".
