My CD-RW drive worked just fine until a few days ago.  It recognized all CD-
Rs and CD-RWs , but now
it simply stopped working.  When the drawer is opened, the light comes on,
but when I insert a CD-R or CD-RW I get the message "Q is not accessible.

A couple of spyware searches indicated that the follow file with a font

Life of a CD Rom Disk18 Mar 2006 05:51 GMT1
From time to time, I come across an article about CD roms, etc.
What I have learned so far, CD-R (I use) is better than CD-RW for long
term storage of important data.  Also, how they are stored can have
a bearing on their "life".
