  I have a question: do files with filenames of different lengths take
up different space in the file allocation table?

I was using partition magic to create a new partition on an external
drive. While rebooting the computer froze and I had to unplug it. My
external drive is "corruptable or unreadable." Portition magic says
error 7 "operation canceled by user" occured. How do I fix this. Can I?
