Grainy display after upgrade24 Nov 2003 17:07 GMT1
I reformatted a hard drive for someone, then reinstalled
Win 98 Upgrade (using 95 as a confirming CD).  When he
hooked it up, he said it was grainy.  We checked the
Control Panel - Display, and there was only choices of 2

It was recommended that I reinstall or update my video

When I try to open a jpeg file the file download window
appears asking what I want to do with the file.  I click
on open, the window goes away, but the photo does not

I have installed Office on our home computer and all the programs work fine

My mother just upgraded form windows 95 to 98.  They had
truble with the display being fuzzy. They installed new
driver for Video Card.  Now the display is to large for
her screen.  Any Ideas?

I am running Windows 98.  I have an HP digital camera that has a cord I can
use to connect the camera to my computer's USB port.  It says I can then
download pix from the camera as if it were a hard drive.  I have some

If I leave my computer for couple of hours or more, when
I come back it's locked up and I have to shut the power
off to shut it down.  This also happens when I leave my
computer on overnight to clean up files and defrag.
