I am missing the winninit.exe file so windows will not
boot. Can I download this from somewhere?

Recently, my imaging software - which used to work without
any problems - won't start and returns the message:
"Pbase.dll file is linked to missing export MFC42.DLL6883"
followed by another message "A device attached to the

The GMT error screen comes up every time I turn my machine
on using Win98 Second Edition. I ran the system file
checker and it found no problem relative to GMT. When the
message started coming up my machine has slowed down

I have noticed recently that in programs being installed< Notably Symantec
programs,__that instead of readable fonts in the splash screen < they are
shown as small rectangles, I did think that a font or two might be missing
__but still have the problem after reinstalling all of the ...

When I shutdown I get  the "bluescreen of death" with the
message "fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028:c00063d9
in VXD VMM(01) + 000053d9". Please help!

Hi I really need every ones help.  My friend is using
Win98SE and is having trouble with her monitor.  All of
the icons are too large and in the display settings she
can only choose between 2 colors and 16 bit colors.  We

Everytime I start my computer I get this message do I want
to install DCOM98 for Win 98.  I have installed it and

I am puzzled.
Everything runs fine until I click on the Windows Update.
Once I am in the Windows update, I click scan for update

Help! I was messing around in an area I was unsure about
and deleted some fonts which are apparently supposed to
stay with Windows. I was able to restore most of the
missing fonts but can't find a way to replace MS Serif and

My sister is running Win 98 on a laptop with a partitioned
hard drive and she keeps getting messages that there is no
space on drive C.  I've deleted and moved files to no
avail.

Son recently changed log-on password and now cannot
remember old password - and so cannot access his doc's
etc.    Have used help etc.
