HELP - Windows hangs on start-up/possible file association error28 Dec 2003 03:38 GMT1
I'm running a Dell Pentium III with Windows 98 SE.
Everything running OK on Christmas. Shut down. Yesterday
startup and it hangs right after loading the wallpaper
and the Microsoft anthem chimes in. The task bar briefly

I ran my virus scanner today and notised that it said that
the   C:/Windows/System/SIntf16.dll was curupted. I went
online to try and find out what it was or if I need it and
had no luck. Anyone know what this file is? and if I need

the spouse installed Quicktime on the computer.. and then
removed it.. now im getting view32.exe errors when i try
to open attachments in outlook.. saying that it needs this
to open quicktime pics...

player didn't tell me that the minimum system requirement
is Windows 98 Second Edition.  I'm running Windows 98.

Every time i install something on my pc i get the same
error on load up after i have restarted, it says that
registry checker had found a problem and needs to restart
