About 3 weeks ago - my computer locked-up on me - couldn't
access web through my modem - however cable company said
nothing was wrong with the signal. So I took it to a local
computer company whom discovered spy ware which slowed the

WHILE TRYING TO OPEN EXPLORER ERROR424" APPEARS AND
FREEZES UP MY PC.
ANY SUGGESTIONS??????

WINDOW SIZE.  Sometimes, but not all the time, when I open
a new browser window, it is very small (about ¼ of my
screen).  Same thing happens (sometimes) when in Outlook -
want to send a new email and the template comes

s there anyone ou there in the "blue yonder" that has a network setup
similar to mine. Here's what I have.
Equipment:
Hughes 2 way satellite system

When curser is placed on new Folder in Explorer windows
button a Kernel32.dll page fault error message appears. I
tried fixing by use of the Mircosoft Windows 98 original
disk rerpair option to no avail. The Knowledge base

I have a folder which keeps opening up after each reboot,
even though everything is closed when I shut down
computer.  Is there a way to make it not open up?

Startup was freezing up on me and I think I narrowed the
problem down to the sound files.  I went through the
control panel and set most of them to none but this is
only a temporary fix.  How can I correct this problem?

When I try to install mcafee 451 I am seeing
STOPSVSYNCMANAGER error. I see AVSYNCMGR error when I boot
the machine. How do I fix his. I ran SFC and the

Whenever I start up my computer, after it goes into
Windows, an error message pops up and when I click on
details, it tells me that Explorer.exe was not found. But,
throught MS-DOS, I checked the explorer.exe is actually
svcpack.exe & win.ini error messages received upon start up27 Dec 2003 22:03 GMT2
when my 98-2nd ed desk top appears, I get the following
error messages:
1."cannot find the file 'svcpack.exe' (or one of its
components). Make sure the path and file name are correct

recognized, it is an update to Win98 second ed. Is there
someplace that I can download it?
