Having installed a SP1604N Samsung Ultra, I find that my
system dosent see it.  Can anyone help with this problem

When I open
SystemProperties/Universal Serial Bus Controllers
I get:
USB Root Hub

I had Word and some other applications open when my system
crashed.  After rebooting, when I tried to start Word, the
computer locked up and gave an insufficient memory error.
All other applications work except Word.

A friend's gets this error message when she turns on PC.  
I know I should have more information.  Hoping maybe
someone can tell me the questions to ask her.  She has
